What this course covers
MikroTik is a major implementation platform used throughout this academy — but this course exists specifically to get you comfortable with the tool itself: WinBox, the terminal, RouterOS’s menu structure, and the handful of core building blocks (bridge, addresses, DHCP, firewall) that nearly every later lesson builds on.
The reference device used throughout is the MikroTik CCR2116-12G-4S+, running RouterOS 7. Concepts transfer to other RouterOS devices; exact interface names and hardware capabilities will differ by model.
This course is vendor-specific by design. For the vendor-neutral concept behind each step, see the linked lesson in Networking Fundamentals.
